Picture day!

I've been wanting to take some fun pictures of my various sims. Lately, it's been ever present because of the song "I Kissed a girl" by Katy Perry which reminds me of Sofia just for the line "You're my experimental game/ Just human nature."

So here she is, the best pics I took last night I think.

I call this one "Empress" because it suits her. See her haughty smile? Yes, she is better than you, and if you turn your back she'll take your boyfriend and leave him a crumpled mess in the street for you to pick up.

There is a darker side to Sofia. She is pragmatic, and yet the occult fascinates her. No one wants a pragmatic woman with the powers of the occult on her side.


Sweet and innocent... yes that's her too. Sometimes I think that she doesn't really know what she's doing is wrong. As far as she's concerned the world owes her.

As bare natural as she'll get. I have to admit it was a little embarrassing getting this round of pictures because her raw sensuality just shined through. My boyfriend was in the room with me at the time and I was sure he was going to turn around at some point and accuse me of making pornography!

Yes, we're ending on a wink. That's Sofia for you. She just never quits.
Plans are in store for her. She's really just turning into a fun character to play.

Ann's vacation Last Day

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.



For her last part of her trip, Ann stayed at the Lakeview Hotel. It's another old house that has been converted into a charming "hotel."

The neat part is that is features a swimmable lake. Which can also be fished out of. (I believe this is another lot by V1nd1care over at MTS2.

On one of her calls home, Ann heard that strange things were going on back at home. Her oldest son told her about a witch who had been haunting his diner, making lightening, rain and cockroaches.

Something new to explore? Ann returned quickly.

Ann's shelf of treasures minus one

Something is missing from Ann's shelf of treasures... Ann went missing soon after for an entire day.

It took a while, but as soon as Ann saw the witch, she knew what to do.

Ann has her own powers of persuasion.

Ann is now a witch! She's working to be more Neutral than good or bad. Who knows what she could do with her powers. Only time will tell. (I don't see her dying any time soon!)






This was funny again. Anytime Ann talks to the males, she talks about Sofia. What is her obsession with the woman? She never gossips about her, Sofia seems to only come up in polite conversation. And this convo here is with a teen.

Ann's trip day 4

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.




Ann woke up early on her 4th day. She had to take a trip to the middle of the island to visit the ruins after all.



Here lies the temple ruins. Ann arrived just as the sun was beginning to rise.

The ruins are a beautiful lot done by V1nd1care at MTS2. There are offering plates to the various elements (from Parsimonious.)

Traditionally, young newly weds will come to the temple to pray-- men to the earth god for kindness and females pay to the water goddess for cleanliness.


Ann of course prayed to the god of fire to stay outgoing.

This little boy had way too much fun with the air balloons; where were his parents?

Ann went next door after visiting the temple so she could get a bite to eat and a cheap aerial view of the island.



While there, Ann struck up a conversation with a nother traveller across the way. I didn't know a sim could do that! I suppose Ann's prayer to the god was heard. She managed to make a new friend while on vacation.

It wasn't a lighly made decision...

Demi and Melanie; Aren't they precious?

Water is always working. In the morning, he goes to his chocolate shop and sells chocolates to everyone in town. Then he comes home for lunch and heads out to the diner where he stays until close to midnight.

All the while, Demi stays home and watches him run himself ragged to afford a fancy home.

Demi has never brought the topic of marriage up. She's allowed him to decide when he is ready to settle, even if this means he is never going to be ready. In the mean time, she has taken up studying a new guide to "lifelong Happiness."




While playing Samantha Kerr, the high school teacher, Water came over to visit. Before he settled down with Demi for sure (ok, mostly at my urging), he had a lot of fun with Sam.



Unfortunately, she wants to marry him. She doesn't seem to realize that at his heart he is a romance sim.


They had a lovely lunch. I refused to initiate anything unless they gave me a sign. For a while, they were completely uninterested in each other. They sat watching TV.

Then Sam mentioned something about meeting new people and marriage. Water looked very agitated as they discussed it. There were quite a few pauses, but they continued to return to the subject.

Water Finally walked out of the house and stood on the front lawn for a bit.

Yeah, how can you resist that strut?

Then Water strutted back into the house. His intent was clear.

It all went down hill from there.



Before Water came along, most of Sam's nights were spent sitting at home alone eating TV dinners in front of the TV. She was so lonely.


It's possible that Sam has some insecurities. Though sometimes she comes off as if she is too sure of herself.

Apartment life-- Better than the real thing

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.

Bonnie and Orlando cleaning up the old place

Bonnie and Orland were the first of my sims to move into a proper apartment. The home I had them living in was more meant to be a store front than an actual home. So I converted it into a community lot. (This of course means that other sims will be able to stop by and buy custom creations from Bonnie's shop when I'm not playing Bonnie.


The apartment is much more spacious than the old place. Everyone has their own rooms, and they now have a proper kitchen and dining room. The place is about $2,000 a week (which is every Monday.) Perhaps this will change my rotation time line since rent might be forgotten on Mondays.
The apartment building has this lovely playground attached. Bonnie and Orlando are on the first floor to be close to the playground.


This is Amália's new bedroom.




Amália also had a birthday in the new home.

Amália as a toddler. It's hard to tell because her hair is brown, and her mother's is black, but she looks just like her mother.

Meanwhile

Green and his cousin, Aden, are having a time in college!



Green has been working on his first book more than his school work. (As always. He was a horrible student in high school, and often had to be pushed to do his work.)

To help him stay up late, Green prefers a nice mug of strong black coffee. No girly espressos for him! I think he just likes the weight of the mug and the serious look it give him when he sips from it.

Green finally finished his book by the time his first semester was over. Poems for A., a set of poems he wrote for his sweetheart, Ashley, actually did really badly.

Green still gave her the book though. He was quite proud of it after all. He is already starting on his next book.





Aden Mellon, the unfortunate soul who is not only a middle child, but also has the misfortune of a horribly deformed face like his brother Stephen, is coming into his own. In other words, he's really growing on me.

Aden is more laid back. Originally, his parents had him running the store until his brother Phillip became a teen and decided that he was a fortune sim, and he wanted experience running a store. Thank goodness Phillip took over because Aden was seriously depressed. He hated running the store. He even hated going in with Phillip to help out.

Now at college, Phillip enjoys star gazing with the telescope (he's hoping to find the aliens again), and he's gained the attention of a cute young woman from his dorm.



Early one morning, he invited her out on a hike. Unfortunately, he lead them through a poison ivy patch, and they both came home itching. It took a while with all the itching, but Aden finally managed to get his first kiss.

Ann's vacation day 3

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.



The next place Ann stayed was at the Old Winery and Mill. Once again, another place that had been family owned and was converted into a hotel.

Once she checked in to her hotel, Ann went across the street to the Town Square to have a lovely lunch.



After lunch, Ann sat down at a small cafe and ordered her first Greek Coffee. (Which only looks a lot like what she calls espresso.

Ann then walked over to a neighboring cafe and bar. She was still full from lunch, so she instead had herself a proper drink.


The lovely thing about this place though, is actually coming for a romantic dinner at night.

Ann was alone, and had no one to have a romantic dinner with, so she snapped a pic of this guy

Ann went back to her hotel and called her family. Once again she started talking about Sofia. I suppose of all the sims, Ann is onto Sofia. It wouldn't surprise me if she didn't trust her.


For an elder, Ann managed to pack a lot of stuff into one day! And she walked everywhere too. Puts me to shame.
