Ama's morning

>> Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Present Playing Day:

Amália Stratton scrubbed her face thoroughly as the morning sun shined in through the bathroom window. She planned on a big day today.

Last night, she received a call from Orlando Mellon, her friend Hobart's father, asking her if she wanted to come visit the farm after school. Surprisingly, her mother said she could go. "Well, they do have the bus up and running now, and the trolley is working, so it should be ok."

Ama took out her toothbrush and blobbed toothpaste onto the bristles, smooshing it with her finger. It was going to be a busy day. It was her first trip to the farm since she had moved in. Hobart never had much to say about about the farm, even when she asked him.

Hobart's other father, Daniel, had been her mother's best friend since they were kids. They were so close that they were almost family, and Ama considered Daniel to be her uncle even though she didn't get to see him often. He always made sure to send gifts and letters to her on her birthday and holidays.

Daniel was a plant sim. Her mother said he hadn't always been that way, just happened one day when he was an adult. But the idea of being a living plant was neat.

Ama could imagine the head of the local Garden Club's reaction to the well grown walking and breathing plant. The image made Ama giggle.

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.

Bonnie Centowski gave birth to a lovely baby girl named Amália.

Daniel Mellon became a plant sim. O_O His partner didn't appear too happy about it, but that didn't stop the wedding.

Everyone that was important to Daniel was there. It was definitely the happiest day of his life.

Soon after the wedding, Daniel felt a tickle all over. His nose began to twitch, and ACHOO! He sneezed out an adorable little plant sim that he and his partner called Ivy Mellon. (I know, original, huh? XD)

Next door to Daniel, things at the Mellon Farm have been going really well business wise. Phillip has a great head for business! He suggested his family sell live stock and it's products. So they have renamed The Fish House to The Farmer's Market, and now they sell meat, milk, eggs and fertilizer.
Phillip treated his sister out to a meal at Water's Gourmet Diner.

The cute part was that while they were there, they ran into other sims like their brother Daniel.

I also took note of this:

Cherrie Smith and Jeannie Stratton out to a lunch date together. Jeanie was married into the family first and it turned out she was good buds with the sim who had been stalking my sims for a while. That's when I first became aware of the plight of my NPCs. Now I keep a close eye on them. (See the second paragraph of this post to see what is up with my NPCs.)

Also, I just love this kitchen. Buggybooz added more parts to it since the last time I played. So I had more to play with. It looks so lovely in game.

Ugly kids, but an adorable family

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.

Walter Mellon, Ann Mellon's twin brother, married the maid. It was not the most ideal situation, and most of the other sim in the community did not make much of an effort to hide their contempt. So Walter and his wife, Lucy (née Hanby) moved out to the country to raise their children.

All the kids started out cute, but once they reached teen years, it was clear their faces were doomed to be horribly misshapen!

Poor Stephan was their first child. Here he is as a teen showing the beginnings of the facial deformity that would affect the entire family. Stephan, knowing that no sim would truly love that face, fed himself to a cowplant.

Do not worry. I am not just killing their children off willy-nilly, although I had considered it, I must admit. But their family grew on me. Because Walter and Lucy are so much in love (three bolters, so if I leave them alone for a minute he's singing to her or they're slow dancing), I allowed them to have quite a few children before the oldest became old enough to highlight the deformity. By then it was simply too late. The twins had been born.

I took a family picture of the family today so that I can make them a family portrait to put in their brand new living room!

I built them a new home to live in. It was silly for them to have to "commute" over to Daniel every day to help him with his farm. So now they live right next door to him! Thanks to Phillip's influence (he's our future entrepreneur) the family will now focus on live stock, including fishing.

For fun:

Hard to tell, but the puppy is watching TV. XDD

These events take place before Tierra De Legado.

Lots of work done today!

My dear Daniel Mellon graduated just the other day. Daniel is the child of Walter Mellon (Ann's twin brother) and Lucy Hanby, the maid. He is the second oldest of four other siblings (the eldest brother passed away due to a mishap with the cow plant) and grew up in a cabin out in the woods.

He went away to college to study agriculture. (Ok, so he went to college mostly because of pressure from his mother...)

But having a large family pays off! Daniel was having a hard time getting his farm started. For one, he couldn't care for all the plants on his own. Two, he has to pay rent to Cherry Smith each week, so he needs to find a way to make some money until his crops grow. Three, he could not afford to pay someone to help.

That's where his family came in! I use Simlogical's meeting controller to call his family over to his house in the evening for a few hours to help care for the plants.

To make money while his plants grow, Daniel has also become a bee keeper using PC Sms Beehive, which can be picked up at the sims 2 graveyard. I learned about it from Windlebridge.

Test business on the front lawn. Daniel now sell them from his garage so as not to clutter up the lawn.

Now selling them out right nets you $25. BUT if you sell them at an average price using OFB, you can get almost $100 per bottle of honey! And you can collect honey multiple times a day. So Daniel has almost paid off his $10,000 loan which he used to buy supplies to start his farm.

Ily Stratton became a teen today!

She is very much a girly girl.

I've never said, but the name I-L-Y (like Miley), which stands for "I Love You" was my niece's invention. I thought it was cute and gave my next girl that name.
Beautiful, no?

Bonnie's shop has been redecorated.

And the last bit, Bonnie is no longer Bonnie Stratton. She is now Bonnie Centowski. Yes, Bonnie is an honest woman. ^__^

Bonnie is one of those surprise break out sims. I didn't realize just how much I would love her that day her mother gave birth to her in the bathroom.

Even the delivery man ran in to watch

Bonnie's mother was single at the time of her birth, but she had her mother and step father there to help her out. Bonnie's mother, Christy Stratton, had been on edge for a long time. As a family sim, she wanted a big family surrounding her, but all her children had moved away. So having a young child in the house to take care of seemed to help Christy.

Kimberly tried her best, but she was a young mother and she had needs also. I remember the day Bonnie came home from school to find her mother on a date. Kimberly had tried to leave when she realized Bonnie would be home soon, but she didn't quite call the taxi soon enough.

Bonnie threw down her homework in great distress and began to cry on the front lawn. It was then I realized she wanted to know who her father was. Her best friend, Daniel Mellon had a father.

After that, Bonnie was on the hunt.

Bonnie and her distant cousin, Water Mellon

Bonnie noticed how odd it was that she and a supposedly distant cousin looked so similar that teachers at school were beginning to ask them if they were siblings.

Bonnie began to wonder about Alec Mellon, the husband of the Legacy Heir. But she was quite unsure of how to approach the problem. She was only a kid afterall.

About

My photo
I'm a proudly nerdy girl who knows too much about X-Men and has stories running through her head when walking. This is really my first real attempt to share just a few of the stories that not only play in my head when walking, but play out when I'm playing my sims. I hope you enjoy. ^___^
