I can't believe it!

But I remembered.

It's this blog's birthday today! Can you believe it's two years old? Two years! That's two years of playing steadily. Two years of actually writing about my playing steadily. Two years of actually writing steadily.

There's something of a love hate relationship with this blog, to be honest. It's not always been my best writing, and I think somewhere, in the back of my head Ruin was always percolating because it's always been meant to get out (I just needed lots of time away from it), so the story in this blog might have crossed some streams with Ruin. (That's bad. You're not supposed to do that.)

Even if it wasn't always my best, the point has always been to let go and just have fun. No worries or concerns, just writing for myself and learning to then share it

But the best thing to come out of this blog, of course, has been all the people I've been lucky enough to get to know. It's interesting the odd ways you all come up in normal everyday thoughts from time to time.

So my first two posts on this blog two years ago: A text version of the family tree (Don't know how up to date that it, but pretty much I've been playing the same sims for two years, so not a lot has changed. Yikes! And Laura thinks her sims age slow! :P) And the beginning of Amberle's story.

I guess that's enough celebrating. I should get back to "work." And by work, of course, I mean play. Big simming weekend for me. I've declared it. ^____^

First of all *throws balloons and confetti* Congratulations on the two year anniversary!

Wow. I am in awe. Seriously, I don't think I've ever had a site reach its two year mark!

And the fact that you've been writing and simming Tierra de Legado in that time is simply amazing.

You're truly inspiring Lunar!

Happy birthday to your blog!

It is definitely unusual to keep a story blog going for 2 years, much less to retain reader interest the way you have! Congratulations!!

We're about to hit our 3 year anniversary, and I agree with you that one of the best things has been the people we've met. You rock! Keep going!

Yay, happy birthday Tierra de Legado! How fun, I think there's actually a bunch of us having 2 year bloggerversaries in the next couple months, lol! (LH is in March.) Must have been something in the water two years ago that made a bunch of like-minded people want to start Sims blogs :)

I agree, I've met some awesome people through blogging! Wish we all lived closer and we could get together for coffee or something and talk about all our different projects - how fun would that be?!?

But anyway, thank you for deciding to share your stories with us! I'm a fan of everything you write! :)

Happy birthday Tierra de Legado! 2 years is a long time, I hope to reach 1 year!

And it would be great, like Laura said, to have coffee and talk about stories, because nobody I know is so into Sims as I am, I don't think I know people who play sims, only my sister, and she plays for 2 days, and then quits for 3 months, so she doens't play like I do.

Anyway, congratulations on the 2 years! I hope you keep writing, because I like your writing!

You are so kind. Thank you Carnaxa. Laura's right, there had to be something in the water two years ago or something. Maybe it helped that I never became too involved in the community so it was easy to just keep going along doing my own thing and meeting awesome people.

S.B., will there be a party for three years? There should be. And I hate parties, but I'll be there. XD

Thank you. Of course, the proper story you know of has only been in effect for over one year. This blog is full of experiments, lol.

Laura, that would be so awesome if we could get together and have coffee (or hot chocolate in my case which I would pretend was coffee, lol) and just talk about projects and ideas.

Thank you, Laura. You support means more than you know.

Tanya, wouldn't it be nice to hang out and talk about Sims? My family plays, but my mother is the most into it, so I usually get a run down of which sims are annoying her when I go visit, lol.

Thank you, Tanya. I'm probably writing more now than ever before.

Yay, happy birthday to Tierra de Legado! Two years is an awesome milestone. :)

I actually can't remember how I found your blog, whether you left a comment on mine or whether I found you in someone else's blog roll. I do remember going back through all your old entries (and I do mean all - I'm a completist!) and falling in love with your hood. Experiment or not, it's been a lot of fun!

I think "meeting" all the other bloggers has been one of the best parts about doing my own blog too, so I was just nodding along to that part of your post! My sister plays but she plays exactly like Tanja's sister, so she often doesn't have much to say, though she's very patient in listening to me rattle on!

And man...I love that first picture! So adorable!

The Lunar Fox January 9, 2010 at 5:20 PM

Aww, thanks Carla. lol, anytime you want to talk sims or anything else, I'm there. You know where to find me. I'm on the VSS forums pretty frequently.

I love that first pic too. That was going to be a banner once, but I ended up never using it. These picture were very Ama heavy. She's just so photogenic for a sim!

Happy Birthday, Tierra de Legado, and congratulations, Lunar! Your blogs have inspired me and a lot of others.

Whenever I get stressed about my blog, I remind myself of what you said, that I'm writing it for myself, and sharing it.

Thanks so much for sharing!

KDSGS January 12, 2010 at 9:44 AM

Well, I am covered in embarrassment!
How clueless am I that I did not know you had a Sims 2 blog. I saw the links at Gayl's blog and was gobsmacked to find this!
I will be checking this out in future, you can bet, Happy Anniversary!!

The Lunar Fox January 13, 2010 at 10:13 PM

Thank you Francesca. It makes me happy to hear that. Sharing stories should definitely be fun. :)

LOL, Drew. Hmm. Yeah, I guess I should work on making those extra blog connections. Yikes if you're brave enough to go back. I actually always suggest to everyone to go forward and just start reading along.

KDSGS January 14, 2010 at 10:45 AM

Oh, I am not brave, LOL! So I will just jump in the deep end of the pool and paddle along and read along.
Looks fascinating!

Happy belated blogbirthday!

I have had this bookmarked for over a month to come and do a proper read from the beginning, in an organized manner, and I'm finally tired of waiting til I find that mythical being called time. I'm just going to dive in and splash around in your current posts. :-)

The Lunar Fox January 15, 2010 at 8:14 PM

lol, yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. If there's something you need to know I will definitely link to it either at the beginning or at the end depending on how important it is that you know it.

For the Samantha Bradshaw project, I am hoping to make it so that you don't need to know anything other than what she finds out along the way.

About

My photo
I'm a proudly nerdy girl who knows too much about X-Men and has stories running through her head when walking. This is really my first real attempt to share just a few of the stories that not only play in my head when walking, but play out when I'm playing my sims. I hope you enjoy. ^___^
